OUR STORY
F & G Designs is the husband-and-wife team Fritz and Gretchen Maurer — married best friends, parents of two grown daughters, and experienced home rehabbers with nine properties transformed across Connecticut, Florida, and New Hampshire.
Gretchen is a master at reimagining spaces to create flow and function. She can visualize a finished space the moment she walks in. As a Certified Clarity Coach and gifted listener, she spent 20 years helping brides bring their visions to life — skills she now brings to your home design project. Gretchen will quickly grasp your ideas or help you uncover them.
Fritz brings a unique blend of precision and practicality. A former Quality Control Manager and Tae Kwon Do instructor, he is also a CT-licensed therapist and licensed contractor. His background ensures that every project combines technical skill, careful attention to detail, and a deep respect for your goals.
Together, they understand that reimagining your home is something you’ve been dreaming about — and they don’t take that lightly. Their mission is to help you transform your existing space into something that balances flow with function, organization with storage, and always adds a touch of beauty. After all, who can simply up and move these days?
